Protection system alarmed. Install anew and register the program again.

alignment problem

Unread postby DanClarkWCP » 27.06.2008 04:43

Downloaded 3.79 for Mac last night, and decided to test it on what I thought would be a difficult subject. My first test turned out amazingly well, but I got horrible registration problems after that. Even if I aligned the files in Photoshop, then saved off each layer as a new TIFF, I still don't get very good results. However, if I load the stack of the first photo again, it still produces a great result. So, I'm assuming it's users error, but maybe not the same as the previous person experienced. I'm guessing that either I have too much camera movement between shots, or perhaps not enough contrast in the problem image stacks. I'm not sure what to do next.

Thanks in advance,
Dan

Dan,

First of all, dark corners may be the reason. The program think they are part of the object and tries to align them.

Secondly, you can change limits of alignment in the Settings.
