Original "Nef" EXIF and EXIF saved after processin

Unread postby pfgbel47 » 24.09.2007 21:08

Hello,
I noticed that the EXIF of an original "NEF" file (Raw) was considerably summarized after processing with Helicon Filter and saved under JPEG format.
The settings about keeping Exif are though correctly chosen in the "preferences" of the software (The one I use is vers. 4.65 I think).
It makes a problem to me because websites where you can post pics for a specific theme or contest or competition do ask the full exif of the picture and do not accept the summarized Exif file like the one remaining after processing raw/nef with Helicon Filter.
Is there a solution to this problem ?
Thanks in advance !
Pol

Pol,

We preserve full exif and I would like to test your nef if this not the case.

Please note that RAW files also contain custom camera info that sometimes duplicates exif but cannot be correctly saved in fixed number of exif records.

Hi Dan,

At the basis the Exif of my NEF files are complete.
When processing this file through HF and save the result in JPEG, only a summary is recorded and saved.
That's why I asked the question, because some pics were refused on a competition photo-website because of "incomplete exif".
The best is you have a look by yourself, here are the links to the 2 files:
NEF:

and the resulting image after HF:

I'm looking forward to read your reply as soon as possible.
Thanks a lot for your cooperation, Dan !
Pol

PS: The links will be ready in 30 minutes only, counting from this time, just the necessary delay to upload them on my website.
Thks.
