Helicon filter problem with file types

Unread postby stoddone » 20.01.2007 02:06

:( I can not open file types .JPF or .NEF. I can open .jpg and .psd files. I updated preferences to accept Nikon RAW, but still can't open .NEF I can open .jpg but not .JPG what am I doing wrong or not doing?

JPG is the same as jpg. :?:

If you go to a .nef file and right click and click "edit with helicon filter", what happens?

What is the problem:
1. Helicon Filter is not called when you click on these files
2. Helicon Filter is not able to open these files even if you use Open command of Helicon Filter.

In the preferences you can define if Nikon SDK should be used to process nef files. To open Nikon D 80 files you need to disable Nikon SDK, they do not support it yet, but our library does support it.

JPG-jpg: what happens if you rename our JPG file to jpg or jpeg?

Helicon filter problem with file types

Unread postby stoddone » 22.01.2007 19:27

:D I found the problem! When I first got my Nikon D200 I somehow got the date in the camera changed to one year later, that is 2007 instead of 2006. the meta data on a lot of images has a date in the future from now and your program thinks the file has invalid data in it. If I change the system date to year 2008 the Helicon products will open the files with the bad dates.

Can't Helicon Filter give a special error message for a picture with a date more future than the computer date? That way people won't have to ask when that happens what is wrong.
