How to crop with specific ratio

Unread postby robbe » 06.05.2008 11:40

Hello,

I have purchased Helicom Filter and I'm very satisfied with the program and its numerous ease to use features.

One thing I'm missing is the possibility to crop images in a predefined ratio (e.g. 4:3 ; 16:9 ; ....). Is it possible to implement this in a future release, or is it possible to crop images this way already today.

Thanks
robbe

In the User Defined mode you can specify any aspect ratio.

In the user defined mode I have to type the correct dimensions (inch,mm). If I want to have the ratio 16:9 I have to calculate the two dimensions by hand.

If there where a possibility to choose e.g. 16:9 and I can draw a crop-rectangle with this ratio over the image it would be much easier to crop to a specific ratio.

best regards

By the way... it would be nice to have the "Portrait/Landscape" switch in the "user defined" mode. At the moment you have to manually change the aspect ratio, if you want to make a portrait picture out of a landscape foto...

Thank you Dan,

that's it, what I was looking for.
The problem is that in the german interface the button "Change" is translated with "Farbwähler". It should be translated with "Ändern".
