HF does nondestructive editing?

yes, hfs files are not deleted automatically. But they are very small and take not much space.

We can't attach this info because not all formats support metadata.

Why not save setting only instead of processed files: First reason is that you need to apply settings to original file before showing it. That is too long. Second reason is that you need processed files in most cases and orininal file only occasionaly.

What about an utility like Microsoft Power tools for deleting web pages. On deleting a html file, all the associated files are also deleted?
