Ghosting can also appear if the program is not able to align images. This is can be your case because the details level on the blade is very low and the shape of the object is linear. I would suggest to disable or decrease Autoadjustment settings in the Parameters. Or, you may try to add one more ob...

We completely rely on OS support in RAW development. So you will need to upgrade to 10.5.x to read your NEF files directly by Focus. You can also save them as TIFF from Photoshop and then process by Helicon Focus.

First of all you need to make more photos with smaller step. Focused areas should overlap so that the program has enough information to reconstruct the final image. After you get full object sharp, experiment with Method and Radius.

We will investigate this case ASAP. Which language is set on your computer? I mean Windows localization.
Are you running under admin or guest user with restricted rights?
Do you have xp or vista?

Can you please download Helicon Filter and check if it runs correctly?

We tested big images with 4Gb of memory. You can activate memory saving mode if you have less memory. The more memory you have the faster it works.

300Mb tiff = 50 MPixel at 16 bit per channel, 192Mb = 32 MPixel

We tested Helicon Focus with 70Mp images so you should not have resolution problems. Of course you will need 4Gb of RAM to process such files.

It looks like the program is damaged. I would ask you to install Helicon Focus and test it. Both programs have similar structure and components so it will ease undestanding of the problem. Please contact support (at) heliconfilter.com for further information.

I need to have a look at the result or experiment with the stack.

You are welcome to upload it (heliconsoft.com/ftp.html)

Usually method B produces amost no halos. And in any case one have to make sure that the images are aligned correctly.

We do no sharpen or blur original pixels. But the result is always a weighted average of two or more planes. If you set smoothing to zero you will see the extreme case. In most cases it is not optimal while seams between areas and program errors are very noticable.
