Re: HELICON PHOTO CONTEST: We are looking for great stacks
Here is a stack of a recent event. Cicada's are emerging in our neighborhood. The stack was made with 10 frames taken outdoors using Helicon Remote via a netbook tethered to the camera.

Re: Live View Disabled On Canon 7D
Stas, I'm not leaving live view on, Remote is disabling the option to turn on live view. It is the top item in the 7D menu item shown. When it is set to disable one can not start live view by pushing the live view button on the back of the camera. I have to get into this menu and reset it to enable ...

I already have the unlimited license. Would it be possible to participate to give a copy to another person?

Re: Live View Disabled On Canon 7D
Is there a possibility that turning off live at exit can become an option that a user can choose or not?

Re: Live View Disabled On Canon 7D
If I unplug the USB cable before stopping Helicon Remote the live view feature is enabled on my camera, but if I disconnect the camera after normally exiting Remote then the live view feature is disabled. It appears that Remote is intentionally disabling the live view feature just prior to closing.

Re: Focus not returning to beginning with Canon 100 f2.8L IS
The AF zone setting on this lens has 3 settings. Even though I turn AF off and the lens is being adjusted tethered the thing seems to work best if the closes focusing AF zone is set on the lens. It returns nearly to the beginning this way. If I leave some buffer steps at the near point it's return f...

Live View Disabled On Canon 7D
I generally have my Canon 7D set to enable live view. When I use Helicon Remote it uses live view on the computer monitor, but disables live view on the camera. Once the Remote session has completed it does not restore live view to the enable setting. I frequently have to locate the setting in the c...

Focus not returning to beginning with Canon 100 f2.8L IS
When using the Canon 100 f2.8L IS on a 7D at mid to long range distances Remote correctly commands the focus plane back to the first location. When one or both of the points is in the close macro range, Remote does not return the lens back to the first plane. In that circumstance I have to click on ...

Re: Workflow questions
What is the best way to deal with movement? It seems to work very well if there is no wind but if there is some wind the subject might move directly, how much of this is handled when stacking? How does this apply to landscapes? My main interest is with landscapes so I know bush movement can be an is...
Re: Aphid
Thanks Stas, sent the bug report tonight.
Re: Aphid
Thanks Stas, I changed the focus position manually. Stackshot looks very appealing. Bounce flash was used with a 10 sec delay for reliable flash recharge. Speaking of flash, I'm using the Canon 7D and the flash compensation options seem to be grayed out in Remote. Also even though I have set the cam...
