Re: D850 Firmware 1.10
Tried again. HR version is 3.9.7 (Android) device is Samsung Tab S. Camera is Nikon D850 FW 1.10. HR did work for many months wired to camera. Last such use was Feb 24. Several attempts to use it since have failed. Connects to device but after one task completed (ie Preview or focus), the software l...

Re: D850 Firmware 1.10
Tried HR again... I can get as far as Camera detected successfully, but with msg to reset camera settings and try again. Do so and get the same, endlessly. Camera settings always come back the same, incl IP address when detected by the tablet. Camera D850 FW 1.10, Tablet is Samsung Tab S. Noted &quo...

Re: D850 Firmware 1.10
Thanks Catherine.
I tried last night, could not get the Bluetooth/WiFi transfer to work with Snapbridge.
Could not see how to set it up using the HR instructions but was rushed. Will try again.
Samsung Tab S is my device.

This update (released this week) implements WiFi on this camera.
Has anyone tried it with HR yet?
Thanks
Richard.

Re: D850 and V 3.9.7 (Android)
Hmmm strange.
Tried new cable again and old one (known to work with this camera). No go.
Plugged D3x in (different cable type), worked. Plugged D850 in... now it seems to work.

D850 and V 3.9.7 (Android)
Complete failure with this version: (Using Samsung Tab S -SM-T805W) Can only do one action (autofocus or preview or Take single image), then it locks up completely. Focus works, preview appears to work (progress bar moves to end but "stop shooting" is still displayed) no image displayed on...

Shutter Delay
Using HR (current android version), there is an excessive delay (several seconds) between shots. I cannot find a reference to this in the manual, or in the app settings. MUP is not set on the camera (D850). The '"Shutter Delay" setting is not set. Is it possible to reduce this (to be simil...

HF 7.x - Resize option (rendering)
This seems to have disappeared. I found it useful for doing a quick check on results (changing parameters etc.) rather than processing the full size images.

Re: Auto-Focus not working - Nikon D3X/Samsung Tab S
Stas,
OK, looks like Google did not push 3.9.1 down to me. I was using 3.9.0.
I forced it and it now seems to work.
Thanks.

Auto-Focus not working - Nikon D3X/Samsung Tab S
Auto-focus used to work, but no longer does. AF works in Liveview on camera (both back-button and shutter 1/2 press) Focus by arrows still works but tap screen auto-focus no longer does (focus motor does not operate on tap-screen). Camera Nikon D3X Device Samsung Tab S. Helicon Remote is up-to-date ...

Re: Defining save folder (android)
Stas,
The closing ] was replaced by another char, IIRC it was a question mark (?).
Simplest solution is to check all chars are valid and properly enclosed by [...]. (AKA "range check"). This would cover misspelling as well as missing delimiters.

Re: Defining save folder (android)
Stas, problem solved.
The issue was not the path name... it was a bad file name definition in the settings.
The error msg is inadequate, it should state what the problem is, not "check enough storage avail, permissions etc." (paraphrased)..

by Stas Yatsenko » 16.06.2016 02:32 >The folder you created probably lacks permissions (is too restricted). Then why not just change the permissions?
