Re: D300 nikon
We tested D300 again. The program does not see the camera if it is in USB mass storage mode. And it does detect camera if it is PTP mode. Please check in camera settings the mode of USB connection.

Re: help with LR3 workflow
Yes, you select 4 images, then Export\Helicon Focus. You will see in the upper left corner that Lightroom is converting files to tiffs and then opens Helicon Focus with the exported files. If this does not work with you, we will need more information to replicate the problem. OS version, Light room ...

Re: Supported Canon Cameras
Your camera does have autofocus but it does not work in Live View mode. Only 50D and 5DMKII lines support this feature according to Canon SDK. Please note that this does not affect the core functionality of the program. Autofocus is just a faster way, but it resets nearest and farthest points becaus...

Re: Ghost Image
You are right, the low-contrast copy is the first source image where the object is blurred and is bigger than the second (focused) one. The blurred edge of the flower hides details behind this edge and there are no way to get them: no source image contains this information. I would suggest to minimi...

Re: Retouching brush is choppy??
Thanks for the feedback. Is there any difference in brush speed if you run Helicon Focus in 32 and 64 bit mode? The speed should depend only on image resolution. How big are the images you process? Names: please give me an example.

Re: D300 nikon
Thanks for feedback. While we are preparing new version, please check that PTP (not USB mass storage) mode is set in your D300 camera. Then reinstall Helicon Focus and check if Helicon Remote detects the camera. We tested D300 in office a few weeks ago and there was no problem with detection.

Re: Strange cropping by HF !
If you change the order of the source images and Helicon Focus will not crop the result. But you will see that the edges will contain blurred areas from some of the source files. When you refocus your camera, the framing chages. I think you need to frame when you are focused on the FARTHEST point, n...

Re: Mac Nikon D300 NEF small pictures!
Ron,
Thanks for the details. If other application can open your RAW file, Helicon Focus should be able to do it also. We will check this issue and fix it till the next release. We plan to publish it in a couple of weeks or sooner. I can send you a beta as soon we fix this bug.
