Re: Stacking HDR series
stack3pink.jpg I feel foolish: I had used this to batch process a time series, I just never looked at the other options. Works like a charm. The attached is from 3 levels of exposure, 60 shots in each stacked then merged into HDR. The actual size of the flower is ~1/4" across. The full file is...

Stacking HDR series
Remote allows you to take several shots at different exposures for each step in a stacking sequence. Is there a way for Focus to detect this and stack all the +1EV shots, then all the 0Ev, followed by the -1EV?

Re: Light Variation During Stacking
I described exactly this problem last week, seeing in Remote. Also using a Nikon, but with LED lighting. Exposure bracketing was NOT on. The reply was “Helicon Remote does not manipulate live view image, except for the case of "Live view brightness increase" option enabled in the settings....

Radius and Smoothing in method C
Didnt method C allow adjusting these parameters in the past? Is there a reason these options are in A and B but not C?

Two new Remote problems
I am using the current version of Remote on a MacBook Air, running High Sierra, and have two problems. I am working with a Nikon 7100 with a Nikon 105 Macro lens. Lighting is from constant illumination LEDs. First problem. During a shoot, the images cycle from bright to dark every 5-6 shots. The dif...

Re: Helicon Focus Macro in the field recommened set up
I use a laptop along with a collapsible chair that has a swing-out platform to rest it on. I also use a long connector so I can sit some distance from the camera. That way I can often find shade for the screen, or at least a better angle. If all else fails a sheet to drape over me and the laptop sto...

I would recommend method C. I have had similar problems with some of the very hairy caterpillars

Re: Helicon Remote and StackShot issue
If you look in the top right, where it shows it is seeing the Nikon, does clicking on it bring up the option to use Stackshot instead?

Re: Screen image very dark
The new version still whites out everything and also flickers continuously. In addition the 'Focussed' button now causes the entire object to show as focussed; it starts at one spot and spreads over the entire object. This is true at all sensitivities and the Adaptive setting. This makes the feature...

Re: Screen image very dark
As you've discovered, the brightness boost was broken - it should be fixed in the latest 3.8.5 version. So if you download and install the latest Helicon Remote from our website +1 EV will work. As for the actual fix, make sure live view exposure simulation is enabled, assuming your camera supports...

Screen image very dark
Recently I notice the image on my screen is much darker than the saved version. The screen brightness is maxed out, so I can't get any improvement there. If I use Preferences to set to +1EV the screen goes totally white. Are there any other adjustments I can make?
