For your offline computer you should generate the key manually. Open Helicon Focus menu->Help->Offline registration..., copy your Workstation ID (in format 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00). Then login from another computer, connected to internet, to http://support.heliconphotosoft.com Then paste the Worksta...

There is an optical problem. Each hair when unfocused hides the background behind it. So I would suggest you to set lower aperture (F11-F16) and see if this would help. I've tried to change some internal parameters of the algorithm but the result is not better. So far we have no ideas how to get bet...

Klaus,

Thanks, we will update Helicon Remote with the newest libraries that comes with 2.6 version. Strange, but Nikon still have old modules on their site for developers.

g0b, I've played with your stack yesterday. I am amazed that even 200 images with F8 do not have excessive overlapping! A remarkable stack that produces very smooth 3D model too. I found that method A, Radius 16-24 and Smoothing 1 give the best result to my taste. It is not perfect but smooth,natura...

Frank, If understand right, the program makes steps from the interface but does not move focus when you start shooting the stack, right? I would appreciate if you send us remote_control.log from the Helicon Focus folder and HeliconRemote.ini from application data folder (seach for the file, location...

Our installation is signed so you can be sure that it is not corrupted or modified by viruses during downloading. If you need to reistall application, I would suggest to download the most recent version, we update it about every month.

I would suggest you to set Depth map smoothing on the Preferences/Autoadjustmento to 0. And I think the overlapping can be too big, I would use every second or every third image to see how it would change the result. You can also set interpolation to bilinear to speed up the processing. I would like...

According to my finding there is no SDK for developers to control this camera. More over, even Pentax Remote Assistant is not able to control lens like Canon or Nikon. Sorry, it looks like Pentax is not yet ready to be automated.

I think PL filter is not possible to implement in software. As to ND filter, it is easy to implement, we will add this to our to-do list.

We do the same as all digital cameras do: contast detect focusing. Local contrast is measured for each pixel and then this information is used to merge images.
