Re: Filetype RAW

Just stumbled over this old thread while browsing the forum and thought I might clear the confusion (in case someone is still interested in this): The files produced by these cameras are not of the Filetype "RAW". Much simpler than that (yet challenging), they are indeed raw files, meaning...

Re: HF 25% slower on 10 core iMac Pro than 6 Core Mac Pro

Wow, that speed gain is impressive. I just downloaded the beta as well and did a little testing myself. Though I don't get a speedup as high as pwnell which, as I suppose, depends on some of my personal settings (I mostly use pre-calculated DNG files with method C and Lanczos 3 interpolation), I sti...

Re: Bug/mistake/missing features in batch processing

Hi Stas, that sounds great. I've been a HF user for about ten years now, and in that time I have seen a lot of useful features being added which today I wonder how I could ever live without. So, hopefully, the series will continue... ;) #1: Is the user selection of stacking order respected correctly...

Re: Bug/mistake/missing features in batch processing

Oops, didn't notice 6.8.0 is out already - got no notification from HF, either... Nevertheless, just downloaded the new version and did a few quick tests. So, here's what I found: Issue #1: Stacks are still rendered in descending order, no way to influence this. But as yet, random appearance of asce...

Bug/mistake/missing features in batch processing

Hi Support (meaning Hi Stas, of course), now that I finally find the time... I found three quite annoying issues trying to use batch processing with HF 6.7.1 (also tried 6.2.2, same results) on Macintosh, making this (originally neat) feature useless in many cases: First thing: There is some strange...

Re: HF 6 on MacOS 10.6?

Hi Stas, so I went to trying... These are my test results so far: Put simple - virtually everything that was already there in 4.2.9 also works in HF6. Virtually everything that is new in HF6 does not work. In detail: - The OSX 10.7-style scrollbars in picture windows are not available for grabbing o...

HF 6 on MacOS 10.6?

Hi all, currently I am still running MacOS 10.6.8 on all of my Macs (mostly because of the Rosetta issue) which forces me to stay with HF 4.2.9. But I think I remember that I read in a discussion thread quite a time ago that HF 6 (which was then a beta) in principle runs on OS 10.6 macs, too, with t...

Re: Profile Adobe RGB 98

Hello, Helicon Focus does not change the color space of your photos, I would even claim that it is completely unaware of color management. It simply uses the colors (i.e. the color numbers) inputted and then saves a picture in the original color space, but without attaching the ICC profile (which ma...
