Re: Using Scheimpflug
Ahh ... OK. I thought you meant I could combine them in HF. Regarding the difference with the C method. I was looking at them again last night and it seems to increase grain in an ugly way. This could be because of increased 1/4 tone contrast, but you'll know more about that that me. Essentially tho...

Re: Exported/Saved tiff format
Is there a tool/utility to check which byte order a tiff is in? I find that when I open any tiff in PS, then choose to Save As, it will offer the same byte order as the file is already in. Everything that comes out of Helicon, is always set to IBM PC byte order. This would be no big deal, except tha...

Re: Using Scheimpflug
Is the contrast the only downside of method C? I would say it's contrast that is the disadvantage. There seems to be a 1/4 tone to mid-tone increase in contrast that doesn't work so well for me. Have you tried to combine colors from method B (low pass) and details from method C (high pass)? How wou...

Re: Renders as Retouching source + Aligned multiple renders
Stas, Good news about the renders as clone source. I only updated to the latest beta a couple of days ago, so perhaps this has changed, but I have found that although images from different renders may be 'aligned' there may be differences in some distortion that is introduced during the renders. Cli...

Re: Using Scheimpflug
Stas, the result of my findings so far is my feature request : http://goo.gl/mFrOzk Essentially it appears to me that the only way to deal with these kinds of scenarios is to use multiple renders (2 is most likely sufficient). B is giving me best results overall, with a pleasing look, but C is the o...

Renders as Retouching source + Aligned multiple renders
I have a suggestion for the retouching module. Perhaps it already exists, but I haven't been able to find it. _______________________________________ I tend to make several renders per image in order to find the best one. Some of them are good in areas where others are weak and visa-versa. I would l...

Hi Stas ... just a little 'bump' on this one.

Invalid Image Format
I've just started using Helicon Remote with my D800e, shooting NEF, under Mavericks (MacOS 10.9) running Helicon Focus beta and it works very well. However, I also need to use it under MacOS 10.6.8 and here I have problems. Helicon Remote works fine, but when I want to open the images in Helicon Foc...

Using Scheimpflug
Hi, I am using Helicon extensively on a new book I'm working on and am using an Arca-Swiss view camera. I am wondering what might be the best way to handle this sort of scenario, in terms of where I position the plane-of-focus using front element movements (tilt/swing)? http://www.grantsymon.com/Gra...

Exported/Saved tiff format
Hi,
I'm using the 6 beta and find that exported/saved tiffs are in PC format, which causes me problems. Is there any way to change this format to Mac, or to otherwise circumvent this problem?
Grant
