Are you using the latest 5.1.8 version? Does it happen even on demo images?

Please see below the setup we use to test focusing steps. The second image is 100% crop. With such setup it easy to follow how the focusing plane is moving. If the focusing step is ignored, you will see this at once.

No, we have no similar reports and we are not able to reproduce this bug. The best solution would be if you upload a couple of raw files to our server or send us via mail.

You can also try to use different RAW converters, this can also make the difference.

We have no feedback from the camera about the steps. That is the major problem. We had some lens that ingnored focusing steps in the begining of the focusing range but worked perfectly otherwise. Are you sure this happens also with the latest version from our site? We fixed one bug which may have caused such a problem.

Helicon Remote does not support Pentax, sorry. I think Pentax cannot be controled from PC. But you can use StackShot rails for macrophotography, check if it suits you.
