Peter,

Starting from version 4.75 the program has Depth map feathering option in the Preferences. Set it to 0 and use Lanczos interpolation. And compare results.

Peter,

Halo is cause by the difference in brightness of the source images. I would suggest to use manual exposure and enable Autoadjustment of brightness in Helicon Focus preferences.

Did you make 3D model from this stack? Should be nice, I think.

Hi,

What about correcting source images before stacking? In Helicon Filter on the Aberration tab we have a tool to compensate chromatic aberrations cased by optics. We can embed such a filter to be applied to source images before stacking. Please have a look and let me know.

I would recommend you to use smaller radius to make the blurrness around nearest edge thiner. An you may try to use F16 or higher. Look at your image of the farthest part of the object. You'll see that the nearest part become unfocused and covers part focused areas.

Does it happen even with the demo stack? Have you tried to use smaller images or different folder?

I think this is what you mean.

Anyway the program is able to compensate for such magnification so in most cases this should not be a problem.
