Max number of shots
Hi, I use HR, and find it much more user friendly than the crappy Remote camera control Canon ships with his cameras. But I found a little issue : it seems (but maybe I missed something) that it is not possible to make more than 255 shots in a stack (focus bracketing mode). Is it a deep limitation o...

GrayScale TIFF Bug
Hi,
Seems there is an issue (not that important, I admit ) with Grayscale 16bits TIFF files as input. I get an error message from Hellicon Focus 5.0 (about an incorrect lcms) and then it exits.

Hi Stas, Thanks for your feedback. I'm not sure a smaller aperture would help considering the very tiny depth of field, and my optical assembly (the real aperture is not what is written in the EXIF) but i'll try that. I don't see how I could optically avoid out of focus overlapping parts to mask in ...

Hi, Thanks a lot for your help. I've tried to lower depth map smoothing and to take one picture out of 3. But it didn't change much the result unfortunatly. Upload of the stack on your ftp is done (196 pictures in /Ant_Issue) Do not hesitate to ask me more information. I would be very happy to hear ...

How to avoid these artifacts ?
Hi, After many tries with stacking methods and parameters, this is the best I can get (from around 200 images). Has anybody ever experienced these artifacts (too many to get rid of with the retouching tools), and found a way to remove them ? : A : Hairs are only partially visible and smeared. This o...

Hi, Thanks for your quick answer ! I've uploaded the stack and results of my test on your ftp (CA directory). It's a picture of a DLP, I thinks the regularity of the patterns make analysis easier. HeliconFocus_RGB is the result of stacking with color images HeliconFocus_R, _G and _B are the result o...

Hi, My explaination was not clear i'm afraid. Il is not possible to corret each image individually. The issue with non APO objectives is plan of focus is not the same for each wavelength. Remember i'm talking about microscope objective, not camera objective (where CA is far less visible) Real exampl...

Suggestion of new feature in Helicon Focus
Hi, A feature I would really like to see in HF would be a per-channel stacking option. It would be interesting for people using HF for microphotography. Let me explain : Microscope objective have two main defects : they can be non planar and have chromatic aberrations. Imagine (to make things simple...
