Re: User Manual?
Nikon controls its lens by microsteps which are very small. In Helicon Remote we use larger focusing steps, the small step contains 15 microsteps. It means that it is possible to make smaller focusing steps that allowed by the current Helicon Remote version. I would like to know if somebody need thi...

Re: Nikon D3s
We fixed some bugs in this version and we would appreciate if you test it. If the program still does not recognize the camera, try to remove all *.md3 files except of Type0001.md3 in the Helicon Remote folder. It would be helpful if you also send us remote_control.log from the folder with Helicon Re...

Re: Testing Helicon Remote
I am glad to hear the program detects your D5000, because we had some reports that the program does not do it. I would appreciate more information about your situation. 1. Are you able to move focus with >, >> and >>> buttons from the main interface of Helion Remote? 2. Some lenses may ignore focusi...

Re: User Manual?
We control camera with focusing steps. One small step for Nikon cameras is set to 15 microsteps of the lens. We found that this value is small enough for most applications. If you find that you need to make smaller steps, please let us know.

Re: D300s not detected...
D300s and D5000 should be supported by the software but we did not have a chance yet to test those cameras. The bug will be fixed soon.

Re: D5000 problems
We checked the Nikon modules that come with Helicon Remote and D5000 should be supported. D90 is working file though it also supports only PTP connection. We will fix this problem as soon as we have D5000 for tests in our office.

Re: Incomplete Merging
I would suggest to use retouching brushes to clone from one of the source images. You will need only a couple of strokes to fix this. Retoching tools are available in Pro and X64 versions of Helicon Focus.

Re: d90...
DOF Calculator in the Helicon Remote will give you number of steps between shots for a given aperture (f5.6-8 gives max resolution), if you mean these settings. But please note that you may need to correct this value according to your lens.
