Re: Question for Mac users
MacBook 1.4Ghz Intel Core i5, 4GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB iMac 3.5 Ghz Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB I have talked with Apple technical support and they say the iMac should be 3-5 times faster, especially with graphics processing. Each machine takes roughly th...

Question for Mac users
I capture my stacks on an external drive connected to my MacBook Air, and then take the drive home to process the files using Focus on my iMac. Sometimes I will process files at work, on the MacBook, and find that both machines take exactly the same time, even though the iMac should be 3-5 times fas...

Aperture stuck at zero
I am connected to my Nikon D7200 and suddenly the Aperture control is grayed out and stuck at zero. Everything was working until a few minutes ago, and no changes have been made to the system. Helicon remote 3.6.5

Batch processing
I am using Focus to batch handle about 100 stacks. It works fine, but it would be nicer if there was a simple counter letting me know how far it has got. While there are little icons at the bottom, scrolling through them doesn't really give much information.

Re: Forcing new folder
I see. Didn't think the remote shutter release from Stackshot would work while USB remote control is active. Until we add support for multiple stepper devices so that everything could be done from Remote, the only thing I can think of is to add pause between stacks in Stackshot settings (if at all ...

Dust map files
I have two questions.
Does the Dust Map file have to be same file type as the stack files?
Can the Dust Map file be NEF? It doesn't seem to recognize them.

Stacks all overexposed
When I run a stack through Focus, the final image is very much overexposed, even though the individual shots are fine. The output looks the same no matter what setting I use in the creation of the stack. The attached single image is from a series shot at f5.6, 1/160 sec, ISO 100 RAW. The Focus settin...

Re: Forcing new folder
The movement is still all controlled by Stackshot, as is the shutter release. Remote is used to adjust the camera, and to determine where the images will be stored.

Forcing new folder
Ii don't know if this is possible, or if Helicon and Cognisys could work together to find a solution. I am using Stackshot3 to obtain a series of focus-stacked files. The subject is photographed with a 40 image series, it then rotates 10 degrees and another stack is shot. This continues until a full...

Re: Moving camera vs lens focus change
There is an additional potential problem when moving the camera: if you are using a camera-mounted flash, the lighting will become more intense as you approach the subject. This can lead to over or underexposure, depending on where you chose to use as the image for adjusting exposure.
