Re: D300 nikon
Robert, thanks for your feedback. Indeed, you need to change focus with the controls of the program, otherwise the program will no know that focusing was changed! I would appreciate your testing and reports. You can write us directly at support@heliconsoft.com

Re: D3100 Support
The latest SDK was released by Nikon in April, 2010 as far as I remember. A new one should be released in the coming months, I suppose. We will add support for it as soon as Nikon Camera Remote have it.

Re: remote kills canon 500D
Zalama, We sent you more details on email. We had similar problem with Canon 5D Mark II about a year ago. When we set SRAW2 quality, the camera was blocked with error 70. The same happened if when we set quality with the camera menu. So it was a bug in firmware. I hope our advices in the mail will h...

Re: out of focus areas
If you upload the images to our server (as described at http://www.heliconsoft.com/ftp.html) I would tell you for sure. Now I can only recommend to set Depth map feathering in Preferences to 0 and experiment with different Radius values. Two sharp edges are located at different depth so the program ...

Re: shutter speeds
Good point, we will check why the list is limited to 1/30. We tested Canon 5D Mk II, Nikon D90 and Canon 450D with Helicon Remote 2.0.11 and these cameras allow time up to 30 sec. Please give us more details: camera, program version, OS.

Re: Helicon Remote settings
1. Distance between shots is measured in focusing steps made by camera lens. These steps are equivalent of rotating the focusing right by some angle. If the distance between shots is too big, you will see unfocused area between shots after stacking them with Helicon Focus. 2. Yes, if you open DOF ca...

Re: Helicon Remote detecting Canon 400D but not working

The simple check is to try Canon EOS utility: if you see live view there and can make focusing steps in live view mode, then our program should be able to do the same. I would ask you to send us (support@heliconsoft....
