Re: Some slices rotated
Interesting. It is locked on a copy stand, so it is hard to imagine what is going on in the middle of a stack that would make it think it has rotated.

Some slices rotated
In a series of stacks, some of the individual slices are showing up rotated 90 degrees and these are rejected by Focus when stacking. This varies from about 10% to 30% of the total. Can I manually reset them so they are recognized?

Re: Line drawing
I am preparing images of scorpions for scientific publication. In the past people used line drawings to provide key information. I would like to convert the picture to a line drawing and use it as an overlay. Ideally this would use a drawing with black lines on a transparent background.

Line drawing
In Method C, during the processing, a line drawing of the item appears which is finally replaced with the composite image. Is it possible to access the final version of the line drawing and save it?

Focus changing image appearance
Suddenly, when I use Focus, the images in the list on the right look normal, but in the Rendering window the picture is totally different. Everything was fine yesterday, and I don't remember changing any settings. I have turned Focus off and restarted, but the problem persists. I have attachedd a fi...

Re: Nikon 7200 problem
Please reproduce the problem and submit a bug report (menu -> Help -> Report a bug). By the way, did you test 5300 and 7200 it with the same lens or different ones? Did you make sure all the focus mode settings and hardware swicthes are set to AF (or AF-S if there's more than one AF option)? Okay S...

Nikon 7200 problem
After upgrading from a Nikon D5300 to a 7200 I cannot get the focussing arrows to work. If I switch back to the 5300, all is fine. The camera settings are the same on both.
Any suggestions?

Re: 6.3 save to DNG not working on Mac
I only just got around to v6 for my Mac, and notice there is no option to save as a Photoshop file. Is this going to be addressed, or will the eventual fix for Nikon Raw/DNG be the solution?
Thanks

I do manual shots on a microscope, since I cannot drive the focussing. The stacks come out fine, be sure to make each step small enough that the focussed areas overlap.

Suddenly stopped focussing
I am using a Nikon D5300 105mm Macro lens connected to a MacBook Pro. Two days ago everything was working fine. Since then no new software or hardware has been added and the physical connections are unchanged. This morning, when I try a Focus stack, I get the following problem. I can use the focussi...
