Re: IOS with Canon 6D in the field

1. If you're referring to the "Interval" field on the Focus panel, then it's related to focus bracketing and specifies the number of focusing steps between two adjacent shots. If you're referring to the time lapse tool, then indeed this is the time interval between shots in seconds. And ye...

Re: Helicon Remote and Hudl 1

There is one possible workaround that I've forgotten about. Clear the Wi-Fi settings in the camera body, then reactivate Wi-Fi, but this time choose "Computer" mode or "EOS Utility" mode instead of "Smartphone" mode.

The browser does have this function at the moment, but we will add it soon.

Re: Helicon Remote and Hudl 1

Yes, we have received your report, thank you. Sorry for not replying sooner, we were investigating the problem and coming up with some useful reply. Unfortunately, we have none so far. We believe this issue only occurs with some Canon cameras, and we don't have any of the bodies subject to this erro...

Re: IOS with Canon 6D in the field

1. Make sure no other camera-related apps are running, especially Canon Connect. You may need to uninstall it if you have it. 2. Run Helicon Remote. 3. Clear the Wi-Fi settings in the camera body, then re-activate Wi-Fi. Choose the Smartphone mode. 4. Connect your mobile device to the Wi-Fi network ...

Re: D850 with ipad

Thanks for reposting that Snapbridge trick. It slipped my mind that you need a second physical iOS device. As for the focus points: after locking one of them, you must use the manual focusing buttons to navigate to the other one (<, <<, <<< / >>>, >>, >). You cannot use autofocus or rotate the focus...

Re: Helicon Remote and Hudl 1

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app? Unlikely to help, but still worth trying. Then, please reproduce the problem and send us a bug report while the settings are grayed out (menu - Help -> Report a bug). Include a short comment, something like: "Camera settings not accessible&q...

Re: D850 with ipad

I think it's possible, but a bit tricky because of the Snapbridge app being involved. We don't have detailed instructions because we don't have a D850 body, but it goes along the lines of: 1) Run Helicon Remote. Do NOT run the Nikon remote control app, make sure it's not running. 2) Use Snapbidge to...

Re: Nikon D750 with Helicon Remote

Sorry to hear our previous replies were unsatisfactory. Let's try again. The problem with signing in occurs when display scaling is enabled in the iOS system settings. We will fix it in the next update; meanwhile, the workaround is to disabling the scaling temporarily. As for the connection issue, t...

Re: Canon Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1 compatible with Remote on iPad?

Thank you for the link. Yes, Helicon Remote should work despite these differences, and thanks to Gordon's help we have a workaround for this problem. You need to do the following: 1. Clear the Wi-Fi settings in the camera body. 2. Re-activate Wi-Fi in the camera body. 3. Make absolutely sure no othe...

Re: Compatible tablets or phones for Canon 80D WIFI

We have replied to your e-mail. Short version: we are aware of this problem occurring for some users with some Canon cameras. It seems to be specific to iOS, but it could also be that we simply don't have enough data yet. We don't have a verified solution to this problem yet. When setting up the Wi-...

Sorry, we do not take it upon ourselves to make recommendations of that sort. Besides, keeping track of all the new and state-of-the-art tech is a difficult task on its own.

Re: Nikon D850 and Tamron Lens

Helicon Remote has many functions, most of which are independent from the lens. If you're asking whether focus bracketing will work, it should as long as it's an AF lens. Why won't you download the application and try it out? It's free.

Re: Accurate focusing in zoomed view

As far as I know, there is no issue in the app, the inaccuracy you're observing is likely that of the contrast AF function itself. But we will re-check this.
