You are welcome to upload your stack to our server (as described at http://www.heliconsoft.com/ftp.html) so we can analyze it. There are two types of artifacts. First type is cause by the program which was not able to find the best area for the resulting image. We recommend to fix it with retouching...

Tim, It depends if you would like to use 64 bit version of the program or not. You can use 32 bit version even on windows 7.0 64 bit, but 64 bit version (Helicon Focus X64) is faster (see http://www.heliconsoft.com/heliconfocus.html) and can handle bigger files. Thanks for the log. No news so far. We can't reproduce the bug and can't understand why it can happen. We are now working on internally new version and hopefully the bug will be fixed. Please wait a couple of weeks.

Great image for such a camera! I think the order is not that important. I would experiment with lightening, it may give drammatic effect.

You had an old version of Helicon Focus (4.80) which did not include Helicon Remote.

You can start Helicon Remote from the Helicon Focus toolbar or from "Helicon Focus menu\File\Helicon Remote"
