Remote 2.0.11
This version seems to work better overall, but why did the exposure bracketing stop at 5 brackets now? To make this really useable for me, and perhaps others, there should be NO limit on number of brackets. they do NOT need to odd numbers and you should allow for at least 15 brackets or unlimited. A...

Re: remote kills canon 500D
Zalama, I'm sorry to hear about your problem, always a pain when cameras fail. But I think it is impossible that Helicon remote is causing the problem. Helicon is NOT altering anything in the camera, just using the functions that already exist for remote control. And it sounds like your supplier got...

Re: D300 nikon
Just after I posted this, got news of an update to Helicon and I guess the remote, think it's now at 2.0.11 and this appears to have fixed the slowness, speed is fine now, at least with D300. And based on testing with Canons, it appears to me that you HAVE to use the focus controls in the software t...

Re: D300 nikon
I've been using a D300, and it works, but it is extremely slow. After setting the near and far locations via the focus control buttons I found I had a 47 focus bracket. Thats fine, I was using F2.8 as a test. When I clicked on "Start Shooting" it took 2-3 minutes before the first shot was ...

Re: Feature Suggestions
Hi Stas, Yes, I agree that different users will probably need different settings. On the starting exposure, I guess I've always assumed that if you are shooting exposure brackets you will have the camera in Manual mode as any auto mode would seem to be self defeating. I would expect the software to ...

Re: Feature Suggestions
Testing the remote function, seems to work fine with D300. First, really need to allow unlimited brackets, or at least up to 20 separate exposures per focus setting. Next, current interface is too complicated, does not need to be. Just allow me to set the bracket step setting - 1/3,2/3, 1, 2 3, 4, o...

Re: Feature Suggestions
I've just tried my first use of Remote and I do think it has promise. Seemed to work fine with a Nikon D300. However, the exposure bracketing is quite confusing and seems much more complex than it needs to be. The exposure bracket controls I would like to see are: Up to 20 or more brackets per focus...
