Re: Export high resolution depth map

I would guess that's there a 'tone' for each image used in the stack, representing the in-focus region used to render the final image.

Re: Export high resolution depth map

There are a number of export options on the Saving tab, including the depth map. The 3D model is quite interesting too!

Re: Colorcast on final image post render

I want to clarify my previous post … this is what I can glean from using the program. When saving a raw file stack to DNG, some of the raw file metadata from a 'sidecar' XMP is embedded in the DNG file. Looking at the attribute values there, they have values derived from one of the images in the sta...

Re: Version Confusion

Only a single download … which features are available will depend on which license you buy, and the activation code you receive.

Re: Nef files from Nikon D850 ?

DNGConverter_10_3.exe is the program you need to run to install the converter, not the converter itself.

Under Windows, it usually installs under C:/Program Files/Adobe .... not the (x86) folder. So this will need to be changed in HF.

Re: Nef files from Nikon D850 ?

I'm using D850 NEF files without any issues. Download and update the Adobe DNG converter and then be sure HF is pointing to the new version.

Re: Colorcast on final image post render

A number of users have reported this and I have experienced it too. My interpretation is that the image on the left honors the edit settings in the associated XMP file, while the rendered image on the right does not. After you save the rendered image, there is an XMP file created for it. It seems to...

Re: Light Variation During Stacking

That can happen if an exposure bracket is set. On a Nikon, the BKT remains even after turning the camera off. See if the BKT symbol is shown on the LCD. Hope it's that simple..

Re: Filetype RAW

You can open the file from OneDrive in Photoshop using the File, Open command. A dialog will appear asking you to 'describe' the raw file. The inputs would be: Width: 640 Height: 480 Channels : 1 Depth: 8 Header length: 0 While the image is clearly a grey scale it does seem to 'wrap' in a peculiar w...

Re: Output image appears different than inputs

I've noticed this, too. The original frames are displayed using the adjustments made in ACR, while the final stack is not. When saved, the ACR adjustments are restored and the image appears in Bridge as expected. I believe this only happens when stacking RAW images, and can be avoided by saving RAW ...

Re: image appears to be damaged

I'm getting that error message as well. It occurs when opening a DNG in Adobe Camera Raw, but only on images that have had some retouching. Unretouched image stacks do not generate that message. The 'damaged' images seem to open correctly and can be adjusted, then sent to Photoshop as a Smart Object...

Re: SAVE file name

I only see a way to remove the parameters ....

But what I would like is to use R instead of Radius, and S instead of Smoothing.

Current : RRS_1978B,Radius40,Smoothing10.tif
Shorter : RRS_1978B,R40,S10.tif

Thanks for your consideration ...

SAVE file name

Saving a file with the parameters option is important, but the resulting file name is too long, e.g RRS_1978B,Radius40,Smoothing10.tif. This long name is truncated in Bridge in the Grid view, making it hard to select several for preview. It would be nice option to be able to use the same short form ...

Thank you ... I've set up a macro in PS to generate TIFFs from the adjusted raw files, so quite easy.
