Re: Weird crosshatch artifact
Thanks Catherine, I really appreciate your help! I re-ran the stack with a matching DNG dust map and it the problem is gone. A suggestion for the program would be to pop up a warning if we try to mix file types this way.

Re: Weird crosshatch artifact
Attachments in this forum can't handle the size, so I put the source image and dust map into a RAR file here:

Re: Weird crosshatch artifact
Thanks for the suggestion, Catherine. Ive added another Helicon stack image to this post without the dust map. The crosshatch is gone. Guess I'll have to clean my sensor.

Weird crosshatch artifact
I have a weird artifact showing up with Helicon stacks on only one of my microscope objectives. Optics: Nikon D3 Nikon 200mm, f/2.8 manual focus, set at f/8 infinity focus (as a tube lens) 5X Mitutoyo Plan Apo Infinity Corrected Long WD - works great 10X Mitutoyo Plan Apo Infinity Corrected Long WD ...

Re: Output switching is super slow again
I uninstalled all Helicon software and reinstalled. The bug is gone. One thing that caught my attention: There was still an old 6.8 version of Helicon Focus installed alongside the 7.2. I had assumed that 7.2's installation would upgrade in place, so I didn't bother to uninstall that. Maybe there we...

Re: Output switching is super slow again
Your stack with exif data removed misbehaves in the same way when my slow internet is enabled. When I disabled wifi and restarted Helicon, rendering the Method A stack showed 50% on the progress bar for 6 minutes. After that, the progress bar disappeared, but the pointer icon still had spinny (hourg...

Re: Output switching is super slow again
I narrowed it down to a minimum stack of 2 and the issue is still there. I've uploaded a zip of the two frames, as exported by Lightroom, to my dropbox:

Let me know when you have it so I can clear the space on my dropbox.

Re: Output switching is super slow again
My internet is way too band limited to send this 105 image source stack (I live on an island and only have cell service for internet), but I'll see if I can come up with a small test case that shows the problem in the next couple of days.

Output switching is super slow again
Hi Stas, I originally reported this in Helicon Focus 6.7, and it went away for a while in 7.0, but the problem is back. Helicon Focus 7.02 pro Windows 10 Pro, 1803, 64-bit Intel Core i7-4770K @ 3.50 GHz 32 GB RAM Switching between outputs in Helicon Focus has slowed down drastically for me. Selectin...

Re: Helicon Focus frame switching is super-slow
7.0 feels a lot faster! However, every time I go into retouch mode, it crashes. :-/

Helicon Focus frame switching is super-slow
Helicon Focus 6.71 pro Windows 10 Pro, 1709, 64-bit Intel Core i7-4770K @ 3.50 GHz 32 GB RAM Recently, switching between frames and outputs in Helicon Focus has slowed down drastically for me. Selecting a different output or frame (in retouch mode or after a render) used to take at most a few second...

Re: Lightroom Exports Tiffs into Helicon Focus
Is there a way that we can set the Lightroom Export to default the as DNG? I have the converter installed and it works when I go in and change the "Rename To" checkbox and "Image Format" drop down every time, but it would be nice if we could either set the default or have a separ...

Re: Access violation during retouching
I found an easy way to reproduce this today and did another "Report a bug".
1. Use lightroom's export to Helicon on 182 frames
2. Do a pyramid stack
3. Go into retouch mode
4. Before making any changes, hit Ctrl-Z
Bang! access violation

Re: UI Wish List
Thanks for your reply, Stas. The issue with the PageUp/PageDown keys is that they are on the right side of the keyboard, and thus naturally right handed keys. The mouse is also in my right hand, so I have to switch from mouse to keyboard and back. Make sense? Yes, I've tried using my left hand, and ...
