Re: Export high resolution depth map

Hi, there is no way to directly export that file (it's abbreviated "om"; I think this means "object map", given that the depth map is abbreviated "dm"). However, there are two ways to get to this file in full resolution: In HF 6.x.x: Configure a stack as you usually wou...

Re: Helicon crashing

Well, I think that as long as the crashes are image specific/can be reproduced using the same set of images, it would be more interesting to obtain those images for testing and/or examination. If you would make those files available for download (wetransfer, FTP or the like), I would be willing to h...

Re: Can't download software

The suffix ".download" (which is temporary) indicates that the download was not completed, so, unless the download is still in progress, just discard the file and try again. After a successful download the additional suffix is removed automatically, and you have a file called just " H...

Re: Strange red tint on save

Ross,
in that case I am quite sure that the older DNG converter version on your Mac (combined with the type of RAW images you use) is to blame. Just update the DNG converter on your 10.11.6 machine, and you will most likely be fine.

Re: Light Variation During Stacking

Doesn't really sound like exposure bracketing because if so, the cycle should at least contain three phases (normal, darker, lighter) instead of two. However, if bracketing was used, you can easily judge this from the exposure values in the EXIF data of your shots even if the setting in the camera h...

Re: HF 7.0.0 Mac Beta testing, part one: Alignment problem

Stas, as I said, I used method C (also tried A and B with comparable results) - but anyway, the images are indeed shot in consecutive order. As you can see in the MP4 I supplied with the stack, the rail wobbles a bit in the first few frames (which, annoyingly, can't be avoided with Stackshot at 10x ...

Grrr...you know it's a pain to attach images in this forum? So, here's the picture that should have showed second in the above posting (HF 7.0.0 with default settings):

HF 7.0.0 Mac Beta testing, part one: Alignment problem

Hi Stas, finally, here comes part one of my testing results. Originally I planned on starting a single thread on beta testing, but when I stumbled across the problem described below I felt like it deserves an own thread. The other day I started a DOF test stack with a microscope objective. Object wa...

Re: Animation Sequence stacked image alignment

Hi Stas, here's a direct translation of the english manual text you can use to "synchronize" the german version: The english section Sort ascending, Sort descending, Sort automatically - sets sorting order for the source files list. Sort automatically option enables the program to analyze ...

Re: Animation Sequence stacked image alignment

Hi there, @John: As for the cache problems (ok, taking the risk you figured this out for yourself already): To determine how many stacks will fit into your cache, simply perform one stack manually, then add pictures for a second stack but don't process them (the latter step is needed because some of...

Re: Animation Sequence stacked image alignment

This is exactly the #1 issue I have outlined in the thread named "Bug/mistake/missing features in batch processing ". Currently, there is no solution to this as, when in batch mode, automatic sorting of images is always applied. However, according to Stas, Helicon are working on the proble...

Re: HF 25% slower on 10 core iMac Pro than 6 Core Mac Pro

Hi Stas, unfortunately, automatic sorting is a big problem for me and for everybody who (like me) does a) micropanoramas like this (mounted from 15 stacks of 150-350 shots each): https://www.stephanbuerger.com/makro/ and/or b) sequential stacks (VR objects, timelapse etc.) of macro/micro objects lik...
