Re: Before stack: Image looks fine. After Stack way over saturated

I'd suggest the CR2 files only - JPG files have had a considerable amount of pre-processing of their own - if you use LightRoom and can use the Raw-in-DNG-out method, you'll get greater control of the final output because the processing on a DNG is like processing a RAW

Re: sometimes results don't transfer to lightroom

Never had that - thought I had, but it was LR playing "silly" and taking a while to 1) display the image 2) update the catalogue 3) create the thumbnail 4) display it. Is it putting the returned image in another folder of which you are unaware? Have you tried doing a search for it ? I'm not a MAC us...

Re: Export high resolution depth map

Yup - certainly an interesting image, but I'm intrigued as to what the tones signify.

Re: Colorcast on final image post render

The color cast does not appear in the beta 16 of 7.0.0 - it did in some images compiled in beta8 - but I was then running an earlier version of DNG converter

Re: Stacking HDR series

I don't think there is a way in Helicon to do this. I've just done a series like this and took advice from the Helicon Team.
It was the Helicon stacks first.
Then merge them in HDR.
Took some time to achieve --- but worth it

Re: What is the best order for post-processing images?

Looks like I'm running DNG converter 10.3.0.933 - so will upgrade and report back.
I'm running Helicon Focus 7.0.0.0

Yup - works amazing - now can move from my test subject to the main project.

Thanks

Re: What is the best order for post-processing images?

Ok so I tried the two possible ways. Both turned out to be unsuccessful. 1. HDR in Lightroom produced DNG files which gave "Load image error: unsupported format" when I tried to export them to Helicon Focus Pro 2. 12 images C stacks in Helicon Focus when returned to Lightroom as DNG could not be rea...

"Damaged" image

I export my images for stacking from Lightroom as DNGs to Helicon Focus. Sometimes when the stacked imaged is returned to Lightroom it is flagged up as "damaged". Sometimes reprocessing the image stack removes that error - sometimes not. Sometimes it's an "A" or a "B" or a "C" stack. Sometimes it's ...
