Re: render error 5

Thanks Stas - that's it. I was thinking that was the same as 'rotate tall' which controls playback on the LCD screen. ta d.

Re: render error 5

I'm having the same problem on a copy stand and the "tilt the whole lot" suggestion sounds like a good Plan B.

Does anybody know if Stas's Plan A - disable the orientation sensor on the body - can be done on a Nikon body without a soldering iron?

Re: Normal room lighting

For what it's worth, in Live View you are looking through the lens at taking aperture. On Nikon at least you have to set the aperture to full open to have a chance of seeing what you're doing in room lighting.

Re: Compatible with iPad?

I don't think anybody has posted an answer to the "dropping out" problem - you may find that it's down to the setting of the standby timer on your camera.

On my D750, Custom Setting c2 Standby Timer set to No Limit cures that.

Re: Nikon Dxxx and iOS connection troubles

Keep trying. I went round the block with the iOS app and a D750 several times and eventually got it to work. Some things that will help: - you shouldn't use the Nikon profiles. These are for cameras with the external / fancy / expensive WiFi controllers - force restart the iOS device having manually...

Long Tap

I'm puzzled by this. Is it perhaps an Android-only feature that appears on the iPad having slipped through the net? If I set Long tap to Auto Focus (seems like a good idea) no matter how long I tap the screen for it will only zoom / unzoom. The only way to focus is to go to Focus tab, press Auto Foc...

Re: D750 and iOS product

Hi Stas Okay, a couple of things I’ve discovered you need to do: Tell the iPad to forget about the home network - otherwise it keeps switching back to it. Set the Standby Timer on the camera to 30 minutes so it doesn’t keep shutting down while you wait for a connection. Even given that I spent an ho...

D750 and iOS product

I'm trying to connect a D750 to an iPad, but it doesn't find the camera. The instructions talk about the standalone Nikon wireless transmitters only and seem to involve connecting it all up via the local Wifi network, rather than the one generated by the camera. So: - can the D750 work with Helicon ...
