Re: Picture disappears in HF 7.5.x
No, any JPEG images doesn't cut, I can't reproduce the issue (and there's no way we would miss something so easily reproducible during pre-release testing). Just tried it again on two computers with different GPU vendors (Intel and Nvidia). Maybe there's some extra action or extra settings that trig...

Re: File increment does not rollover, causes Preferences to beachball
Thanks for the detailed report. We've fixed this already in the version 3.9.8 which is available on our website: https://www.heliconsoft.com/downloads/HeliconRemote.dmg 1000 is not a hard limit, you can configure it. For example, if you want it to go to 9999, that's 4 decimal position and you can sp...

Re: Focus Stacking with 3 subjects in image
Yes, it will work fine. Even though I would suggest to move focus in a regular step to mimic automated focus bracketing. This way you will be sure that all parts of objects are covered and you do not miss anything. Also, have a look at Helicon FB Tube (https://www.heliconsoft.com/heliconsoft-product...

Re: Focus Stacking with 3 subjects in image
If you use camera autofocus to focus on different subjects in the scene, please make sure that you are using methods A or C which do not require consecutive focus movement. In general we suggest to use focus bracketing to continuously move focus from foreground to background (or vice versa). Focus b...

Re: Focus bracketing, D850, only takes one photo
Yes, that's the issue, the program couldn't calculate the DOF so it couldn't calculate the number of shots based on that. The only reason why it happens is that it's missing either aperture or focal length information. Both are provided by the camera in real time based on what the lens reports, so I...

Re: Speed of FB Tube vs Helicon Remote
Initially the main idea behind the tube was providing possibility to shoot a stack at a high speed, it's been initialy intended for handheld shooting and shooting in the field. This doesn't mean that it doesn't work for in-studio shooting, but the tube does not control the camera, therefore it canno...

Re: Tube not working with Huawei P20
With the cable being plugged in, please go to Sound quality and effects in the phone settings, turn off Dolby Atmos and set Equalizer to None or Normal. We are checking it now of P20 and it works fine, so it should be something about the phone settings. Equalizers, amplifiers affect the signal and c...

Re: Focus-stacked Panorama
If you follow your workflow, each focus stack is independent from others, so you can choose focus points as you like (use method A or C if focus changes are not sequential). As to aperture, it should be calculated with any depth of field calculators. I would recommend to rotate focusing ring by an e...

First of all, go to the camera body settings, disable quick review / image review (not sure of the exact name in your particular camera) and see if that helps.

Re: Does Not Work With Canon 5Ds Mk III
Canon 5D Mk III is fully supported. It's difficult to guess which one of a couple potential root causes for this problem is in play here based on such a concise description, but I'd say there is a conflict with some other camera-related software. This is especially plausible if you're on Mac, which ...

Re: My first try was useless
Legacy method B produces better results (you can enable it in Preferences). But we would suggest to set smaller aperture to minimize blurring of out of focus areas because now you can see optical artifacts which no software is able to completely overcome.
