Re: Filetype RAW

The problem is that this format is unknown to the raw converters (for example, to the Adobe DNG Converter). We don't have a solution to this problem. Perhaps, you could ask Adobe to support it. Or ask MatrixVision to ask Adobe to support it. I think the reason it's not supported is that industrial c...

Re: Canon Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1 compatible with Remote on iPad?

Yes, of course, there's also the 7D Mk II which I somehow forgot about. Anyway, if you have about 10 minutes to spare, you can gather the info that will most likely help us fix the incompatibility with W-E1. What we need you to do is run the Canon mobile app and capture the traffic between it and th...

Re: Canon Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1 compatible with Remote on iPad?

We're discussing possible solutions. Buying W-E1 is not the problem; the problem is that it's only compatible with the $3500 body that we don't really need for anything else. It might be possible for you to capture the data that we need and send it to us for analysis. I thought the procedure would b...

Re: Focus stacking with Canon 80D and iPhone

I'm not sure what you mean. The mobile app has all the same functions as the Windows/Mac program. Did you notice the Exposure / Focus / Live View / Tools tabs? For example, the Focus tab has the same interface for setting up automated exposure stacking as the Windows/Mac version of the program.

Re: Will Helicon Remote ever support Sony A7 cameras?

We are planning support for modern Sony cameras (e. g. A7R II), but this work has not begun yet. We have no immediate plans to support any other camera brands. That may change in the future, but right now the only certainty is that we will keep supporting new Canon and Nikon DSLR cameras as they are...

Re: WiFi Connection with Nikon D850

You could definitely try that if you have an iOS device. We don't have a D850 so we can't test this trick ourselves.

Re: Connecting with Samsung Galaxy 7 phone

Try the following: go to Tools -> Network cameras -> Add, select Nikon for camera type, enter any name and 192.168.1.1 address. You will see this manually added item under "Select a camera". Turn your camera on, activate Wi-Fi, connect the phone to it. Then switch to the app and click this...

Re: Connecting with Samsung Galaxy 7 phone

Yes, it should work.
1. Run the app.
2. Turn the camera on, enable Wi-Fi.
3. Connect the phone to the camera's Wi-Fi network.
4. Go back to the app. Press "Select a camera". An "Automatically detected camera" item should appear in the list. Tap it to connect.

Re: Making 3D Anaglyph Movies

It should be doable, if a bit inconvenient, through the manual model control buttons. However, the position reset button currently resets to the last user-selected position instead of some predefined "origin" position, so what you need seems to be unachievable. We're looking into it.

Re: Canon Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1 compatible with Remote on iPad?

We have not made progress with W-E1. At this moment the application is not compatible with it. But it's something we keep in mind and intend to work on in the future (hopefully, near future, but no promises yet).

Re: Helicon Remote not working on Android 7.0?

The problem isn't Android 7,the problem is that your tablet lacks USB OTG support. It may or may not be possible to fix it, try googling it.

Re: Will Helicon Remote ever support Sony A7 cameras?

It most likely can be triggered by Stackshot. Contact Cognysys to find out if the correct remote control adapter is bundled.
