Re: Geotagging does not work

It looks like Google updated API again and this functionality failed. Sorry, we do not develop Helicon Filter any more, so you will probably need to find some other software for geotagging.

Re: Photo Montage

We removed Helicon Montage from installation. We decided not support it in the future version. If you like it and want to use, I would recommend to install older version into different folder to call Montage from there.

Re: Helicon Remote Crashes

That is odd because we didn't change anything that could have caused it. In fact, the program logic have not been touched at all.
Do you get any message when selecting raw image format? Could it simply be that the program is not activated?

Re: Nikon D850

If by focus shift you mean the built-in focus stacking feature, Helicon Remote doesn't support that yet. And if it will support this feature, it will be bound by the same restriction.
However, Helicon Remote's "classic" focus stacking will work with any supported body and any AF lens.

Re: Failure to start shooting. Quits midshooting.

It's not an issue, it's only a symptom. What exactly happens, and what do you do when it happens?

I suspect your edits are saved in an XMP files rather than being embedded into the image data itself.

Re: 6k Photo

I cannot answer that without knowing what it is that you're doing manually.
I assume the problem was that the videos could not be opened by Helicon Focus, it should no longer be a problem with the new Focus 6.8.0 which you can download from our website: http://www.heliconsoft.com/software-downloads/

Re: Fb tube defaults

The step size is proportional to the rotation of the focus ring, it’s not linear, it’s in arbitrary units. There’s no formula to calculate how the step size varies from one lens to another one, since there’s a number of factors that influence it, involving, as you say correct, the specifics of inter...

Re: Command Line - progress reporting and dmap naming?

You can put a space after "-dmap" and specify a file path for it. This was added recently, and we forgot to reflect this in the manual. As for progress reporting: standard output is not easily available in a GUI application, at least on Windows. Writing to a file is an option, although not...
