Version 5.6.3. Question for Stas

The download site states that version 5.6.3 has enhanced "interface usability." Can you elaborate on these enhancements? Thanks!

Re: A month with Lightroom

Good suggestions. I'd also like to be able to shell out to folders using Windows Explorer from within Helicon Filter, that is click on a folder and then right click to open the folder in Windows Explorer. I've mentioned this in the past :D. Thank you, Stas, for all the good work.

Re: Filter feature suggestion

Another suggestion - also posted in the past: Add the ability to shell out to a highlighted folder using Windows Explorer by right clicking on a folder in the folder tree. Lots of software offer this useful feature, e.g., FastStone Image Viewer.

Keep up the good work.

Ver. 5.4.2 Questions

One of the changes mentioned for H. Filter 5.4.2 is:
"o Filters in the toolbar are now configurable."
Can someone (Stas?) explain this in more detail or point me to a Help page explanation? Thanks.

Re: Ver. 5.3.1 "Quick Edit" Tab Where?

OK, got it now. I assumed the Quick Edit sliders were on the left side of the HF screen under the Folders and files, but I see now that they are on the right side (screen print below). DUH! Thanks for the quick response. http://jpmccormac.smugmug.com/Sample-In-box/i-fcgRsfK/0/M/HF%20Quick%20Edit-M.j...

Hmmm? The Quick Edit I have looks like the screen grab below. There are no sliders. Maybe the sliders are only available in a full version?

Ver. 5.3.1 "Quick Edit" Tab Where?

I just installed HFilter ver 5.3.1. The download page states there is a new "Quick Edit" tab, but I can't find it anywhere - and it's not mentioned in the Help files. Anyone know anything about this new tab? Thanks.

Yes. Check here: http://www.heliconsoft.com/helicon-filter-history-of-changes/
I don't think the changes were significant, however.

New Olympus TG-3 Does Stacking In Camera

Olympus just introduced the new TG-3 Tough camera. One of the new features is the ability of the camera to automatically take and stack 8 images at once. The TG-3 shoots eight frames in quick succession, varying the focus distance between frames. The sharpest areas in each photo are then combined to...

Re: After updating HF doesn't work at all

I had a similar problem when upgrading to 5.2.7. I had to use Ccleaner
http://download.cnet.com/CCleaner/
to first uninstall HF 5.2.6, then clean up the temp. files and the registry files related to HFilter. Then I did a clean install of 5.2.7 and it's working fine. Hope this helps.

Re: Ver. 5.2.7 Is Out. What Changes?

I thought I'd give 5.2.7 a try, but it's a mess on my computer (Win 7 Home Premium, 4 GB RAM). I only have presets on the edit menus, no access to the expert modes. Where are the edit tabs that used to be on the top level menu. They are gone!!! -------------------------------------------------------...

Ver. 5.2.7 Is Out. What Changes?

I see that Helicon Filter 5.2.7 was just released. I wonder if Stas could tell us a bit more about the changes and improvements in this version. Thanks.
