HF Increasing Contrast in Final Image

My final results have been coming out with significantly increased contrast compared to the originals. I've mostly used the default parameters (8-4).

Is this "normal?" If not, could you tell me how to avoid this outcome?

Thanks!

Canon 40D Raw file update coming?

I recall downloading a Canon Raw converter when I first installed HF, but don't remember where I got it.

HF now won't read the raw files from my new 40D. Can you tell me if there is an updated raw converter for the 40D (Canon calls it ACR 4.2), and where to find it?

Thanks!

http://www.heliconsoft.com/purchase.html says that for Helicon Focus lite, 30 for one year, 115 dollars forever (including upgrades). I agree that the file browser isn't so good. I wish there would be a window fill the middle of the screen letting you quickly select the photos to use. About raw, I ...

Well, the program needs two pictures of the same perspective, or else how could it combine the shots? There are tools and brushes in cases where it is impossible to combine the shots automatically. Apparently I neglected to mention that the image above was one of a ten image focus set, and that the...

Double Image Results

I've found the trial version of HF to work very well as long at the camera is on a tripod and the subject has no movement. But if I'm shooting handheld (braced), or working with a subject that can move slightly as in the accompanying example, I get one or more image ghosts in the final run. The imag...
