Will Helicon Remote ever support Sony A7 cameras?
As I, and many others, are losing patient with Canon. I have purchased a Sony A7r and will likely update it to the A7r. I have used Helicon Remote and Helicon Focus for years with my Canon 5D MII and MIII. But file quality of the Sony is so much better, I would really like to use Helicon Remote on t...

Re: Canon 5Ds with NEXUS 7
Thanks Stas. Helicon Remote will be compatible with the 5DS? This camera seems to be a 5D MIII on steriods.

Canon 5Ds with NEXUS 7
I have successfully use Helicon Remote and my NEXUS 7 to control my Canon 5D Mark II, USB 2.0 to USB 2.0 with a OTG connector. Will this work with the new 5Ds and its USB 3.0 connection? Or is there and adapter or way to get a USB 2.0 device to see a USB 3.0 device?

Re: Files not being saved to Nexus 7
Stas, I figured out what I was doing wrong. I have all my Canon cameras set to only create RAW files. So in using Helicon Remote to only import JPEGs to the computer, it had nothing to import as the camera was not creating one. So by changing the camera settings to RAW + JPEG, Helicon Remote created...

Re: Files not being saved to Nexus 7
downloaded ES File Explorer for Android. Found the folder created, I think, by Helicon Remote but it was empty. I had shot at least two dozen images. All were on the CF card but no jpegs.

Re: Files not being saved to Nexus 7
Thanks Stas!
How do you navigate on a Nexus 7 tablet? This may be a really basic question, but I am wondering if I just am not looking in the correct place for the jpegs.

Files not being saved to Nexus 7
Shooting a job yesterday, I was unable to retrieve the files for the client to preview. I thought jpegs were saved to the Nexus 7 Gallery and could be retrieved from there. Unfortunately it looks like none were saved to the tablet only the camera's card, Canon 5D Mark III. Anyone know how to set thi...

Re: Focusing with Live View 5DM2
In rethinking this problem, I have come to realize that this is essential for Helicon Focus to determine the focus interval. If Helicon Focus were to set Live View to wide open, it could not determine the proper amount to move the lens to achieve the focus range with the given f stop. So I guess I w...

Focusing with Live View 5DM2
I am shooting with external strobes (not Canon) using the modeling lamps to set the near and far focus points. However, when I activate Live View from Helicon Remote the image is too dark to focus. I have checked Live View on the camera's LCD and there is enough light. It seems that Helicon Remote s...
