Re: No Montage?

Without Montage how do I insert part of one image onto another? I have a macro shots of damaged leaves and wish to place a stacked shot of the culprit insect in a corner of the first shot. I am working with leaf miners and whishing to add pictures of the adult stage to those of the mines. Any (simpl...

Re: Ease of customer support

I live in the GMT time zone and would simply like to say that the customer support here beats 99% of other firms. For a query raised after business one day, an answer is usually in my mail box the next morning. Far better than following complicated menus on a telephone that just lead one round in ci...

Batch change file dates

I import from several cameras or cards and from the PC itself. I don't understand the file dating method in Photo Safe, I though that I had it set to a default but though all files are Year Mm Dd I seem to have a series of either points, underscores and hyphens within the date. Is there a tool to re...

Quick View - Exif information

Would it be possible to see a little more Exif information in the top ribbon in Quick View. I would find it especially helpful if I could see the date of the picture. I need this when I have moved a bunch of images incorrectly from their dated files.

.... and in Helicon Filter!

Resultant Image no longer default view

Filter 5.2.2 running under Windows 8 seems to have introduced a new routine of automatically advancing to the next process in the ribbon bar. If I now crop and click Apply in Resize the visible righthand menu bar is for Brightness but the image offered is the Uncropped one. 1. How do I set the defau...

Text: mixed font and effects

How can I mix normal and italic text? I need a common name and Latin name for specimens, conventionally the Latin is in italics.

Stas Yatsenko wrote:Why can't you just change exposure in Helicon Filter or other editor till the RGB values of the grey background are equal to required level (255*0.18)?

Being ignorant of the finer points of Helicon Filter I never knew that, I'll try it. Maybe I should re-read the guide.

Re: Add magnifier to wish list

Why doesn't live view magnification (which is achieved by clicking on the point of live view image where you want to magnify) suit your needs? I simply find it insufficient magnification, I can improve it my using Windows 8 disability magnifier. All your other programmes seem to have extra magnific...

Photographer's grey card

I shoot all my insects for stacking on photographer's grey card background. After fiddling around with the subject with Helicon the background card is, as one would expect, no longer the same shade of grey. Is there a way to restore a background to 18% grey, or could you provide a small colour chart...

Add magnifier to wish list

When focusing positions A & B in Remote would it be possible to add a magnifier to the mouse to the already magnified screen as you already provide in Focus? At present I have some difficulty when visually focusing on hairs on an insect.

Autoplay

This is a simple Windows question. How do I add Helicon Image Importer to my options in Windows Autoplay and how do I delete such tempting suggestions as "Import using Windows Live Photo Gallery." Could you add the Autoplay option to future releases?

Re: Android 4 and Samsung S2

This is absolutely fantastic, I complain that that Helicon Remote doesn't work properly on my Samsung S2 smart phone on 19th April and by the end of the month there is a new beta version of Helicon Remote for Android which does work. I just tried some stack shots from a camera propped up on my desk ...

Android 4 and Samsung S2

At last Ice Cream Sandwich has reached my phone so that I can try the beta Android version. Essentially it doesn't fit on the screen and different parts of it become viewable when I switch from portrait to landscape but at no time does a run or shoot button appear. I think that the scroll in portrai...

Laptop computer for Helicon Remote

Since Helicon Remote really calls for the use of a laptop computer in the field, what are the suggested parameters by way of processor, RAM, video, etc. to make full use of Helicon software and say, something like Photoshop? The reason I ask is that whilst my desktop is suitable for working with ima...
