Re: Bulb mode, even when not supported

I agree that confusion must be avoided. But maybe something like this could work : When attempting to activate LiveView or the shutter trigger during Bulb mode with these camera models, just show a pop up message "Not supported in Bulb mode on this camera model. Change shutter speed". By t...

Bulb mode, even when not supported

There is only one reason that I have to use another app, from one of your competitors, instead of HR. That is when my camera is not physically accessible during shooting, and I have to control the camera settings 100 % from the app. I know that Bulb is not supported over usb on my Nikon D7000, but p...

Re: Grid disappears when zooming

I understand that my suggestion may conflict with other needs for the grid behavior. Maybe this could be a flexible solution : - If "show grid" is NOT set to "No", then an extra grid option would appear in the menu : "Grid follow zoom" (yes/no). But if you think it woul...

Re: Grid disappears when zooming

I think the best option would be to let the grid remain untouched (not zoomed).
That would allow for a detailed visible grid even in max zoom level.

Thanks for a great program, it is useful for lots of things !

Grid disappears when zooming

My plan is to use HR in the process of polar aligning the camera for astrophotography. I want to zoom in the HR live view screen as much as possible and keep track of a specific star. The HR feature "show 10x10 grid" would be perfect for this, but the grid disappears from the live view scr...

Re: Helicon Remote failed setting exposure time

I just repeated the process : Restarted phone and camera (was set to Manual mode and 1/30 s), connected phone and set 1/4 s in HR. Shot one picture, then HR reverted back to 1/30 s. The picture was actually taken with 1/30 s.
Bug report posted.

Helicon Remote failed setting exposure time

My D7000 was set in Manual mode with shutter speed = 1/30 s when I connected a Samsung Galaxy Nexus (4.2.1) and Helicon Remote (3.1.2). From the HR gui, I successfully changed shutter speed to 1/4 s before taking a picture. But, immediately after the exposure HR gui had reverted to 1/30 s. And the p...

Another suggestion

With my Nikon D7000, I can only use Helicon Remote exposure bracketing if I have set Manual Exposure mode on the camera. If I have set Av mode, I will get a message saying "Please switch to manual mode...". Another way to do this could be to allow any exposure mode (Av, Tv etc - of which A...

Suggestion

I would like to suggest what I think would be some improvements to an already great app... 1) When I have set Live View=off and do exposure bracketing, the live view will still show (but hidden behind the Progress Bar window). This is of no use, and the Live View just makes the mirror flap up/down m...
