Re: Helicon Filter 5 is alive !

AFAIK, Helicon Filter 4 is half-color profile aware and uses the system default - but the Helicon experts will surely know better.
In Helicon Filter 5 you can set your profile preferences precisely in the "settings" menu.

Re: Helicon Filter 5 is alive !

I shall gladly try and likely register version 5 when or if it comes out of beta but I am too cautious to try a beta program. Does the latest version of Helicon Filter 4 run under Windows 7? Yes, version 4 works for me on Windows 7 (64-bit OS). The latest beta of Helicon Filter is worth a try too; ...

Thanks for the tip !!!
It's working fine.
Stas Yatsenko wrote:You can use this method too. If you press Ctrl and draw a line on Resize tab it will work the same way. We will make this functonality more evident.

Re: Wish list for Helicon Filter v.5

I believe Helicon Filter 5 could use an easier method of straightening images. My favorite method is usually to "draw" a horizon line into the image and have the editor rotate the image accordingly (i.e. "drawing" a line along edges of an object on the image which should either b...

Tony

I would not delete version 4.93, yet. Version 5 is a beta and it crashed on me several times, as can be expected. But it looks nice !!!

Nope. I have tried the focus stacking with Photoshop and found it to be tedious, slow, and with less than optimal results. I do not do any focus stacking myself, but read the disappointed comments on the PS tool several times. Here is a test with some comparisons: http://www.luminous-landscape.com/...

I have the impression Helicon is working also on "non-consumer" products, technical projects, custom software solutions, etc... Perhaps Helicon Filter has to wait a bit until such a project is finished. In general we cannot complain about RAW file updates, AFAIK. We all like new toys, but ...

Helicon Filter - free version?

Has the free version of Helicon Filter been dropped?
I cannot find any mentioning of the free version on the Helicon website anymore.
I did just mention the free version on a webboard and was told about its disappearance.
Thanks

Hello, I have no problems with the achieved sharpness of the necklace; it is great. But the background seems too similar in tone and pattern to the jewelry and I do not see why it would have to be in focus at all. More separation between the two would be good. Somehow it might be good to get the bus...

Hello bossit,

do you have both the HeliconFilter.8bf and the HeliconFilter.ini files in your new CS4 plugin directory?

Hello Bart,

the plugins are not a feature of the free version. Neither the Helicon plugin for photoshop, nor other photoshop plugins plugged into HF.

But the lifetime license is such a bargain anyhow :D
